Alice's Adventures in Wonderland

Join the Crighton Theatre for Alice's strange and exciting adventures in Wonderland. Lewis Carroll's Alice's Adventures in Wonderland drops curious young Alice down a rabbit hole and into an underground world that just gets "curiouser and curiouser." In Wonderland, Alice attempts to understand and impose logic on this illogical dream-world as she faces off against the White Rabbit, the Cheshire-Cat, the Blue Caterpillar, the Mad Hatter, and ultimately the Queen of Hearts.

The audience becomes a part of the forest through which Alice travels; they join her at the Mad Hatter's tea party, and even take part in that memorable croquet game with the Queen of Hearts. Come on this enchanting trip to Wonderland; it's more fun and cheaper than a movie!

Drama critic Mortimer Brewster is engaged to the lovely Elaine Harper... but will she fit in with his 'unusual' family? Abby and Martha Brewster are known throughout Brooklyn for their many acts of kindness and charity.

But Mortimer has just learned that his charming spinster aunts have taken to relieving the loneliness of old men by inviting them in for a nice glass of home-made elderberry wine laced with arsenic, strychnine, and 'just a pinch' of cyanide! What else can go wrong? Their brother believes that he's Teddy Roosevelt! Don't miss the opening show of STAGE RIGHT's sixth season at the Crighton!

Performance dates are Sept. 6-22, 2013. Bring non-perishable items to benefit the Montgomery County Food Bank and have a great time!

Young Frankenstein

What happens when a laboratory experiment goes awry? Mary Shelley published her novel 'Frankenstein' in 1818. However, it's quite unlikely she envisioned a theatrical scientist with the mind of Mel Brooks!

The story follows bright young Dr. Frederick Frankenstein (that's Fronkensteen) as he attempts to complete his grandfather's experiments of bringing a corpse back to life. Together with his oddly shaped and endearing helper Igor ('Eye-gor'), his curvaceous lab assistant Inga, and in spite of his incredibly self-involved madcap fiance Elizabeth, Frankenstein succeeds in creating life - but not without scary and quite often hilarious complications.

Island ETC is located at 2317 Mechanic Street in Galveston. Performances continue until August 17th. Be sure to make plans to see Young Frankenstein at ETC. You'll have a monstrously good time at this family-friendly spectacular show!

Operation Pets Alive

Operation Pets Alive! believes that many in our community share our values with regard to homeless dogs and cats. Therefore, we see a need to increase community awareness and community involvement regarding the No-Kill movement and the plight of homeless dogs and cats in our community. We want to help people "do the right thing" for animals.

Operation Pets Alive! (OPA) is an all-volunteer, non-profit organization that depends on generous donations from individuals, corporations, and foundations to fund our programs, supplies, and operational expenses. We do not receive any money from the government.

OPA's Foster/Adoption program provides animals in its care with food, shelter, veterinary care and the promotion and matching necessary to find a forever family. OPA's Trap, Neuter, Return of Feral Cats and Targeted Spay and Neuter programs help to dramatically limit the number of homeless dogs and cats entering our local shelters. Both programs require funds for low-cost spay and neuter surgeries, equipment and transportation charges.
