Fiddler on the Roof

In the little village of Anatevka, Tevye, a poor dairyman, tries to instill in his five daughters the traditions of his tight-knit Jewish community in the face of changing social mores and the growing anti-Semitism of Czarist Russia.

Rich in historical and ethnic detail, FIDDLER ON THE ROOF has touched audiences around the world with its humor, warmth and honesty. The universal theme of tradition cuts across barriers of race, class, nationality and religion, leaving audiences crying tears of laughter, joy and sadness.

Come to CCT's production of Fiddler on the Roof from Aug. 18-20, 2017 at the Crighton! Get tickets from CYT's online Box Office. website | Buy tickets online!

BJ Thomas

A true American institution whose iconic pop, country and gospel hits defined their respective generations and now transcend them, B.J. Thomas has found a unique way to celebrate an incredible half a century in music and some 47 years since his first gold selling hit on Scepter Records. Come see this five time Grammy and two time Dove Award winner who has sold more than 70 million records and is ranked in Billboard's Top 50 most played artists over the past 50 years, as he entertains a packed house.

Many of Thomas' signature hits (from "Raindrops" to "Another Somebody Done Somebody Wrong Song" and "Lonesome") find him seeking some level of positivity to overcome the proverbial universal battle with loneliness. He extended this theme into his successful late 70s-early 80s foray into gospel music, which earned him the first four platinum albums in the genre's history: Home Where I Belong, Happy Man, You Gave Me Love and Amazing Grace. Four of the singer's Grammy Awards were earned from his work in gospel, in the category of "Best Gospel Other: Incl. Sacred, Religious or Inspirational Recording, Musical or Non-Musical."

Noises Off

Michael Frayn's Noises Off takes a fond look at the follies of theatre folk, whose susceptibility to out-of-control egos, memory loss, and passionate affairs turn every performance into a high-risk adventure. This play-within-a-play captures a touring theatre troupes production of Nothing On in three stages: dress rehearsal, the opening performance, and a performance towards the end of a debilitating run. Frayn gives us a window into the inner workings of theatre behind the scenes, progressing from flubbed lines and missed cues in the dress rehearsal to mounting friction between cast members in the final performance. Brimming with slapstick comedy, Noises Off is a delightful backstage farce, complete with slamming doors, falling trousers, and -- of course -- flying sardines! For more information see the website.

Performances are from Sept. 8-24, 2017!

The TV Christmas classic comes to the Crighton stage! Be a part of the show by coming to auditions Sept. 17-18, 2017 at the Crighton. Please download the audition guide and the calendar if you are interested in an audition.

When Charlie Brown complains about the overwhelming materialism he sees among everyone during the Christmas season, Lucy suggests that he become director of the school Christmas pageant. Charlie Brown accepts, but this proves to be a frustrating endeavor. When an attempt to restore the proper holiday spirit with a forlorn little Christmas fir tree fails, he needs Linux help to discover the real meaning of Christmas.

Performances are from Dec. 1-17, 2017!

Ricky Skaggs has often said that he is "just trying to make a living" playing the music he loves. But it's clear that his passion for it puts him in the position to bring his lively, distinctively American form of music out of isolation and into the ears and hearts of audiences across the country and around the world. Ricky Skaggs is always forging ahead with cross-cultural, genre-bending musical ideas and inspirations.

Join Ricky Skaggs on Saturday September 30, 2017 at 8 PM.
