A Charlie Brown Christmas

The TV Christmas classic comes to the Crighton stage! Celebrate the Christmas season with this musical brought to Conroe for the first time!

When Charlie Brown complains about the overwhelming materialism he sees among everyone during the Christmas season, Lucy suggests that he become director of the school Christmas pageant. Charlie Brown accepts, but this proves to be a frustrating endeavor. When an attempt to restore the proper holiday spirit with a forlorn little Christmas fir tree fails, he needs Linus' help to discover the real meaning of Christmas.

Performances are from Dec. 1-17, 2017!

Asleep at the Wheel

Merry Texas Christmas Y'all! From Asleep At The Wheel! Asleep at the Wheel has won nine Grammy Awards since their 1970 inception, released over twenty albums, and has charted more than 20 singles on the Billboard country charts!

Since the early '70s, Asleep at the Wheel have been a force in keeping the sound of Western swing alive. The Wheel have earned critical praise throughout their lengthy career; they have not only preserved classic sounds that had all but disappeared from country music, but have also been able to update the music, keeping it a living, breathing art form. The group has gone through personnel changes (at last count, over 80 members had passed through their ranks), but 6'7" frontman Ray Benson has held it together for four decades, keeping Asleep at the Wheel a viable recording and touring concern and maintaining their devotion to classic-style Western swing.

Come celebrate the season with the outstanding talent of Asleep at the Wheel! Get tickets to Asleep at the Wheel for Dec. 19, 2017!

The Three Texan Tenors

Kingwood has its own call to fame with their very own, Three Texan Tenors, who have entertained and serenaded audiences with a repertoire of Pop, Broadway, Opera and Classic Standards for more than three years. At the helm of this vocal trio, Chris Holloway, a Houston-based professional opera singer and founder of the performing arts company, Opera Leggera.

Called "the Pavarotti of Sacred Music," Holloway has performed with opera companies and classical symphonies at home and abroad, including the Houston Grand Opera, Houston Symphony, Los Angeles Philharmonic Orchestra, the Israeli Opera and many more. From their first concert in a local church, Holloway knew they were onto something exciting. "The sanctuary that seated 800 was completely full with an enthusiastic audience ready for the only thing three skilled tenor voices could bring them. We are not to be confused with The Three Texas Tenors of Branson, Missouri. We're homegrown in Texas," said Holloway.

Come celebrate the season with the Three Texan Tenors! Get tickets for the Christmas show on Dec. 21, 2017!

Hello Dolly

Hello, Dolly! is a musical filled with charisma and with heart. Matchmaker Dolly Levi is a widow, a matchmaker, and also a professional meddler - but everything changes when she decides that the next match she needs to make is to find someone for herself. Along the way she also succeeds in matching the young and beautiful Irene Molloy with Vandergelder's head clerk, Cornelius Hackl; Cornelius's assistant Barnaby Tucker with Mrs. Molloy's loop assistant, Minnie Fay; and the struggling artist Ambrose Kemper with Mr. Vandergelder's weeping niece, Ermengarde.

Set in New York City at the turn-of-the-century, Hello-Dolly! is boisterous and charming from start to finish. Hello, Dolly! features such memorable songs as "Before the Parade Passes By," "It Only Takes a Moment," "Put on Your Sunday Clothes," and - of course - the title number, "Hello, Dolly!"

Performances are from Feb. 9-25, 2018!

Harry's Dream

Thanks to the American Heritage Girls who joined us on a free tour of the Crighton!

A typical tour begins with a 20 minute movie about the founder of the theatre - former Mayor Harry M. Crighton. During the process of making the documentary we were able to find materials not previously discovered or well known. After the short movie we will take a walking tour around the Crighton which should last about 15-20 minutes. The tour can be customized to meet any interests or educational requirements.

Call us at the Box Office at 936-441-7469 or contact Steve to book a group or individual tour.
