My Fair Lady

In this beloved musical, pompous phonetics professor Henry Higgins is so sure of his abilities that he takes it upon himself to transform a Cockney working-class girl into someone who can pass for a cultured member of high society. His subject turns out to be the lovely Eliza Doolittle, who agrees to speech lessons to improve her job prospects. Higgins and Eliza clash, then form an unlikely bond -- one that is threatened by an aristocratic suitor.

We will be collecting donations for Meals on Wheels during the run of My Fair Lady. Performances are on Feb. 10-26, 2017!

Farce of Nature

STAGE RIGHT announces auditions for this comedy from the Jones-Hope-Wooten team. Auditions will be held on Feb. 12-13, 2017 at 7-9 PM in the rehearsal hall (Simonton entrance to the Crighton).

The non-stop hilarity of this Southern-fried farce highlights one day in the life of the Wilburn family of Mayhew, Arkansas. Meet D. Gene Wilburn, the owner and proprietor of The Reel 'Em Inn, the finest little fishing lodge in the Ozarks. Well, it used to be, but lately business is down, tourists are few, and the lone guest who's just checked in - an extremely jittery Carmine DeLuca from Chicago - is only there due to a location shift in the Witness Protection Program.

In the deliciously funny romp that ensues, they all hide, lie, disguise themselves, cross-dress, and slam doors chasing one another while trying to figure out the source of an increasingly awful stench. Yet by the delightfully chaotic climax of this one outrageous day, love blossoms, truths are revealed and the lives of all - family, guests, and gangsters alike - change in incredible and surprising ways. This side-splittingly funny Jones Hope Wooten comedy is guaranteed to win your audiences over, hook, line, and sinker!

Performances are on April 14-30, 2017!

Meals on Wheels

Most of the elderly find themselves at some point unable to meet their basic needs for health and wellness. As the senior adult population continues to grow around the country, including in Montgomery County, services to support this vulnerable cohort are critical. The mission of Meals on Wheels Montgomery County is to provide home delivered meals and transportation services to the homebound elderly in Montgomery County.

As an organization, we seek to provide strategically placed services to support elderly preventative health initiatives, benefiting the individual, their family, and the county at large. Our Meals on Wheels program provides both consistent nutrition services and a safety check by a friendly volunteer.

We partner with our County Commissioners to provide daily group dining opportunities at the Commissioner's local centers, so that qualifying seniors can have a hot nutritious meal in a social environment, transportation included. These services ensure the seniors we serve the independence they seek to age in place.

Our Senior Rides program offers transportation services to seniors and disabled community members. Our passenger buses have curbside services that transport our clients to the places they need to be, including doctor's offices, grocery stores, and activity centers.

At Meals on Wheels Montgomery County, we believe that well-nourished and valued seniors are a big part of a well-nourished valuable community. It's what we're all about.

You can donate online or at the Crighton during the run of My Fair Lady.
