Shrek the Musical

This famous ogre is coming the Crighton! Join our unlikely hero and his loyal steed Donkey as they embark on a quest to rescue the beautiful (if slightly temperamental) Princess Fiona from a fire breathing, love-sick dragon. Add the diminutive Lord Farquaad, a gang of fairytale misfits, and a cookie with attitude, and you've got the biggest, brightest musical comedy around! Featuring all new songs as well as cult Shrek anthem I'm a Believer, SHREK THE MUSICAL brings all the much-loved DreamWorks characters to life, live on stage, in an all-singing, all-dancing extravaganza. Join the adventure! We will be in the Red, Hot, and Blue 4th of July parade in the Woodlands!

Performances for Shrek the Musical are July 10-26, 2015! An additional matinee has been added on Saturday July 25th at 2 PM. The understudy performances will be on Sunday, July 12 at 2PM and Saturday, July 25th at 2 PM.

Les Miserables - School Edition

The Crighton Theatre camp is proud to present Les Miserables. Winner of over 100 international awards and seen by over 65 million people worldwide, Les Miserables is an epic and uplifting story about the survival of the human spirit.

In 19th century France, Jean Valjean is released from years of unjust imprisonment, but finds nothing in store for him but mistrust and mistreatment. He breaks his parole in hopes of starting a new life, initiating a life-long struggle for redemption as he is relentlessly pursued by police inspector Javert, who refuses to believe Valjean can change his ways. Finally, during the Paris student uprising of 1832, Javert must confront his ideals after Valjean spares his life and saves that of the student revolutionary who has captured the heart of Valjean's adopted daughter.

Performances for Les Miserables (School Edition) are on August 6-9, 2015 at 2 PM and 7 PM!

The Lettermen

The Lettermen name first appeared in February 1958 on the marquee of the Desert Inn Hotel Resort Showroom in Las Vegas Nevada, where Butala, Mike Barnett and Talmadge Russell performed in the record-shattering revue, "Newcomers of 1928," which starred big band leader Paul Whiteman, silent film comic Buster Keaton, singers Rudy Vallee and Harry Richmond, film star Fifi D'Orsay and the sneezing comedian Billy Gilbert.

The vision of The Lettermen is of three very strong soloists who also had the ability and showmanship to perform and entertain an audience, but who also have the discipline needed to be group singers. The sound they came up with was a sound between the big band vocal groups such as the Modernaires, Pied Pipers, Mills Brothers, Four Freshmen and the early rock groups such as the Ink Spots, Flamingos and the Platters.

See The Lettermen at the Crighton on August 29, 2015 at 7 PM!

Conroe Coffee

If you haven't tried the Michigan Pot Hole ice cream, then you haven't had triple chocolate ice cream! Imported from Michigan - of course! Normally we would go down to Houston to the Chocolate Bar for homemade ice cream. Now we don't have to go downtown for great ice cream.

Stop by game night - usually once a month - for some fun and games with locals. Or stop by Saturdays for a chance to hear local musicians play. Hang out with your friends while sipping coffee. It's a great place.

You can get specialty coffees, sandwiches, and killer scones! Free wifi! And during the run of Shrek the Musical Conroe Coffee will stay open until 11 PM. Hang out with your theatre buddies after the show or just stop in for that late night snack.
