Just one more weekend to experience the hilarity that makes Rumors! At a large, tastefully appointed Sneden's Landing townhouse, the Deputy Mayor of New York has just shot himself. Though only a flesh wound, four couples are about to experience a severe attack of farce. Gathering for their tenth wedding anniversary, the host lies bleeding in the other room and his wife is nowhere in sight. His lawyer, Ken and wife Chris must get "the story" straight before the other guests arrive. As the confusions and mis-communications mount, the evening spins off into classic farcical hilarity.

"Has nothing on its mind except making the audience laugh." - The New York Times
"Light, frothy and fun." - New York Post
"Neil Simon makes people laugh a lot!" - USA Today
"Not only side splitting, but front and back splitting." - NBC-TV

Performances are on April 15-May 1, 2016!

During the run of Rumors we will be collecting funds to support the Pure Mutts Animal Sanctuary. Help us to support the Sanctuary.

The Fabulous Thunderbirds

For over 30 years, The Fabulous Thunderbirds have been the quintessential American band. The group's distinctive and powerful sound, influenced by a diversity of musical styles, manifested itself into a unique musical hybrid via such barnburners as "Tuff Enuff" and "Wrap It Up". Co-founder Kim Wilson, the sole original member, still spearheads the group as it evolves into its newest incarnation.

"We started as a straight blues band", vocalist and harmonica player Wilson says. "We now incorporate a mixture of a lot of different styles. We're an American music band and we're much higher energy than we were before."

Romeo and Harriet

Bravo Company presents this hilarious musical spoof puts the "shake" in Shakespeare! With the help of a group of quarreling chorus members - Oregano, Carpaccio, Risotto, Prosciutto, Antipasto, Pesto, Mayo and Romano - we get a deliciously funny spoof of Romeo and Juliet. Their comedic and intelligent commentary seasons the show with laughter galore so actors and audience alike wont even realize they're learning about Shakespeare!

The stage is set in modern-day New York City, where clerks of the swanky Montague's Department store and the second-rate Capulet's Discount Mart meet in the street to trade insults. Words are their daggers, so watch out, you might die laughing! Naturally, the heirs to these two retail empires, Romeo and Harriet, fall in love, but don't think you know the rest...this musical has a happy ending! "Humph. Call yourself a tragedy," exclaims Oregano at the end of the show, disappointed to find no dead bodies. Nope, it's pure comedy with pie fights in place of duels, a nurse obsessed with paper cuts, Romeo dressed in a white leisure suit a la John Travolta and an outrageous parody of the most romantic scene in literature. A fun, eclectic collection of musical numbers underscores all this hilarity, including a number in iambic pentameter! It would be a real tragedy to miss out on this one!

See Romeo and Harriet at the historic Crighton Theatre on May 20-21, 2016!

Reckless Kelly with Folk Family Revival

Austin's own Reckless Kelly returned with their 8th studio album, Long Night Moon on September 3, 2013. The album is the follow-up to 2011's Grammy Nominated Good Luck and True Love, which took home four Lone Star Music Awards, and sent three singles to #1 on Texas Radio.

When Willy Braun, frontman and principal songwriter for the band began writing songs for Long Night Moon, he quickly found a theme emerging. "About halfway through writing this record, I noticed that almost all of the songs I was writing, whether they were songs about the road, life, or love, had something to do with traveling. It started as an accident and I decided to just go with it. Before we knew it, there was a definite theme." It's honest, original and constantly evolving. The group is known for their explosive live shows and a passion for making albums of substance. Long Night Moon is no exception to this rule.

See Reckless Kelly at the Crighton on May 28, 2016.

Pam Tillis

Pam Tillis has enjoyed many career-defining moments on stage at the Grand Ole Opry. The daughter of singer and songwriting legend Mel Tillis, she made her Opry debut on the Ryman Auditorium stage at age 8, singing "Tom Dooley" with her dad.

Throughout her career, Pam has earned nearly 20 Top 10 and six No. 1 singles. She has won three Country Music Association Awards - including the coveted Female Vocalist of the Year in 1994 - and two Grammys. She has experimented with pop, Broadway, soul, and jazz, seamlessly incorporating those influences into music that remains unmistakably country at its core.

In addition to guest acting roles on prime-time TV series L.A. Law and Diagnosis: Murder, the versatile performer starred in the Broadway show Smokey Joe's Cafe in 1999. In 2010, Pam became the host of her own WSM radio show, Lettin' My Roots Show.
