Mrs. Bob Cratchit's Wild Christmas Binge

Love the Christmas classics but tired of the same old same ol'? Well head on down to the Crighton for a very irreverent adaptation of the classic Scrooge tale. The old miser needs to learn a few life lessons but it seems the ghost assigned to help him on his travels to the Past, Present and Future is somewhat less than skilled. Instead of viewing scenes that guide him toward mending his ways he often finds himself an active player in situations that he shouldn't be witnessing at all. Most odd is that Mrs. Bob Cratchit doesn't seem to be her normal, goody-goody self in this production.

Written by Christopher Durang and directed by Jeff Elkins this Stage Right production is sure to elicit a few laughs, hoots, hollers and even gasps as it careens toward its final destination. If you enjoyed last year's 'Christmas Belles', come back for another non-traditional Christmas celebration!

Performances will be from December 4-20th at the historic Crighton Theatre in downtown Conroe. Bring non-perishable foods to benefit the Food Bank and come 30 minutes early to enjoy Christmas carols with the Statesmen Chorus, Peet Jr. High, The Houston Slide Oil Company, and other musical groups. Call the Box Office at 936-441-SHOW for tickets.

Holiday Shows

Christmas is a busy time of year. While we have many events at the Crighton during the holiday season, we encourage you to see some of the many shows in the greater Houston metroplex. Artshound has a fairly comprehensive listing of events in the area.

If you are too busy to see one of the Crighton shows, please support your local charities such as the Montgomery County Food Bank or Interfaith's Holiday Toy Drive. Now more than ever we need your help to make everyone's holiday a little brighter.
